The laughter of pups ringed in her ears. The sun beams reached out to her through the branches managing to only graze her grey pelt. The tan soil was soft on her paws and renovated the vibrations of pups and young wolves playing with the leaves. Pride yet again swelled as she saw how much they had progressed. When they first came here, everything was dull. Pups ganged up against each other and life after dark was more dangerous than in the woods. Burglars roomed the streets and called themselves noble, mud called itself water, and villains called themselves king. "My Supreme!" A young female wolf called. She bowed down to May and her friends followed suit. May felt flattered and shy, but she tried her best not to show it. She still wasn't used to being addressed in such a manner which is another reason she insisted not to wear her jewels. "It's okay. You can address me as May if you'd like," May insisted with a small smile knowing it would be frowned upon by her Salbei. They kept advising her to have other civilians address her as the Supreme she is but she still couldn't get used to it. It made her feel uncomfortable and she didn't like knowing that people were forced to show they like her simply because of her title. The wolves stood back up and wagged their tails matching their excited expressions. "I'm honored Supreme May. I've heard you used to be a rogue wolf! Is this true?" One of the female wolf's friends asked. She looked curious and excited. Had May been a normal ruler, she would've scolded her for speaking out of turn. However, May only found this endearing. "Not exactly. I was more of a nomad. Would you like to hear about it?" May asked. A couple of the young wolves nodded their heads, others just leaned in. May chuckled and told about the time she almost fell off a cliff.
This is how May got distracted once more.
May will stay at the park until further notice...
